One of the recent projects we completed at <strong data-start=\"457\" data-end=\"467\">Biason<\/strong> involved replacing an old wooden French window with outdated double glazing with a modern PVC French window. This renovation aimed to improve thermal insulation and brightness while respecting the architecture of the 1960s house.  <\/p><h4 data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"822\"><strong data-start=\"750\" data-end=\"822\">The Challenge: Combining Thermal Performance with Respect for Original Style<\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"824\" data-end=\"1162\">The house, built in the 1960s, featured wooden French windows with obsolete double glazing. Although they had served faithfully for decades, they no longer met modern thermal insulation requirements. This created thermal bridges and interior discomfort, especially in winter.  <\/p><p data-start=\"1164\" data-end=\"1329\">The challenge was significant: these old doors needed to be replaced while preserving the house&#8217;s style, in order to maintain its character while modernizing it.<\/p><h4 data-start=\"1331\" data-end=\"1421\"><strong data-start=\"1336\" data-end=\"1421\">The Choice of a 4-Panel French Window: An Aesthetic and High-Performance Solution<\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"1423\" data-end=\"1731\">To respect the traditional appearance of the house, we opted for a 4-panel French window, consisting of two fixed panels and one hinged door. This configuration maintains an appearance similar to the original while providing a large opening to improve interior brightness. <\/p><p data-start=\"1733\" data-end=\"1817\">The choice of <strong data-start=\"1745\" data-end=\"1752\">PVC<\/strong> was an obvious one for this project, offering several advantages:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"2558\"><li data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"2113\"><p data-start=\"1821\" data-end=\"2113\"><strong data-start=\"1821\" data-end=\"1844\">Thermal insulation<\/strong>: PVC is recognized for its insulating properties, and the new double glazing reinforces this performance. The house now benefits from optimal thermal insulation, reducing heat loss and improving interior comfort. <\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2117\" data-end=\"2318\"><p data-start=\"2119\" data-end=\"2318\"><strong data-start=\"2119\" data-end=\"2133\">Brightness<\/strong>: Thanks to the 4-panel configuration, the space is bathed in natural light, giving the room a more airy and brighter appearance, essential for a pleasant environment.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2320\" data-end=\"2558\"><p data-start=\"2322\" data-end=\"2558\"><strong data-start=\"2322\" data-end=\"2342\">Easy maintenance<\/strong>: PVC is a durable material that requires little maintenance. It does not deteriorate like wood and retains its appearance for years, which is a significant advantage for older homes. <\/p><\/li><\/ul><h4 data-start=\"2560\" data-end=\"2640\"><strong data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2640\">The Benefits of Renovation: Better Comfort, Preserved Style<\/strong><\/h4><p data-start=\"2642\" data-end=\"3010\">In addition to improving thermal insulation and providing increased brightness, this renovation project modernized the house while respecting its original style. The 4-panel PVC French window integrates perfectly with the 1960s house architecture while providing modern benefits in terms of comfort and energy efficiency. <\/p><h3 data-start=\"3012\" data-end=\"3072\"><strong data-start=\"3016\" data-end=\"3072\">A Successful Project Combining Tradition and Innovation<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"3074\" data-end=\"3425\">Replacing this French window truly transformed the interior of the house. Not only was thermal comfort improved, but the space became brighter and more pleasant to live in.
