Wooden windows
THE ADVANTAGES OF WOOD
The most noble species, such as oak or exotic red wood, do not require prior treatment, while others, such as Limba or pine, require fungicide and insecticide treatments or processes intended to make them water-repellent.
Durability and thermal and acoustic performance
PERFORMANCE & AESTHETICS:
a winning duo
Opting for wooden windows means choosing a warm, authentic interior with timeless charm. For those seeking both aesthetics and high performance, the wood-aluminum combination is an excellent alternative: wood brings its natural elegance to the interior, while aluminum effectively protects the exterior against the elements.
Another advantage: the paints and stains used today are increasingly high-performing, which considerably reduces maintenance.
Characteristics
Quality at the service of your comfort
Noise nuisance and pollution have a significant impact on quality of life.
Wood appeals with its timeless aesthetics and natural charm. Available in numerous finishes and shades, it adapts to all architectural styles. And contrary to popular belief, it is possible to opt for high-performance wooden windows without breaking your budget!
Natural resistance
Insulating, flexible, and robust, wood is a low-conductivity material, forming an effective barrier against cold and humidity. Regular maintenance is however necessary: our experts will advise you on the best practices to preserve your wooden joinery and extend its lifespan.
An ecological and sustainable choice
As the ultimate renewable material, wood is an ecological alternative to aluminum or PVC joinery, the production of which is more energy-intensive. Another asset: in case of wear, wooden windows can be sanded and repainted, thus extending their lifespan without requiring complete replacement.

Do you have questions?
A few answers...
What maintenance is required for wooden joinery?
It is necessary to regularly maintain your wooden joinery. For routine maintenance, using a damp sponge followed by rinsing with clean water is sufficient. You can then wipe it with a dry cloth (never use a high-pressure cleaner). In the two months following installation, all pre-painted joinery must receive special finishing coats.
What disadvantages can wooden joinery present?
As wood is a living material, it must be kept in mind that wooden joinery will be more sensitive to weather hazards and climate variations. It must therefore be maintained regularly, notably treated and varnished every 2 to 3 years.
Is wood compatible with current thermal regulations?
Yes! Wooden windows perfectly meet the requirements of current thermal standards (such as RT 2012 and the future RE 2020). Thanks to their excellent natural insulation, they help limit energy loss and provide optimal comfort in all seasons. Combined with double or triple glazing, they contribute to improving your home's energy performance and may even allow you to access certain financial aid for energy renovation.
